You did a REALLY good job writing the book, Sam, it is wonderful, finally the truth comes out loud and clear about the groups practices....I have read parts of it but not finished it yet but can't wait to finish it. Thank you for your hard work in producing such a great book.

I read over this book and must say with a one two punch Sam does a great job proving his point that the COG turned out to be a sex cult extraordinaire. JR
A book that will rock this cult for years to come. JR
Sam makes more than plain that "the simple truth is sex of adults by minors was pushed by this group." JR
You think the sexual abuse was bad, these [Victor] camps were used to basically torture kids and adults. JR
Sam's is to be commended for being brave enough to expose this Cult of Cults and prove to all of us that the Children of God are certainly NOT from God. JR

I've already read quite a bit of your book. So far, I really like the way you have written your exposé. I think you are stressing what's most important.
I think that your point about especially ex-member FGs not wanting to be known for their evil deeds while in TF was significant, and a very good point to make.

One suggestion: In your e-mail, you wrote: “The Children of God Cult, aka The Family” is not THE book on the COG/Family. That book has not yet been written and maybe never will. I will humbly assert that at this point in time (2005), my book is the closest thing to it.” I think I understand what you were trying to say in the above. You meant that no 300 page book could detail all aspects of this cult. But I think this paragraph could confuse potential buyers of your book and so it would be best to remove it from future e-mails.

Here is something from my book on this. “One of the reasons more has not been done by the older ex-members is because many of them, including some of the major players, have done things themselves. They have gone in so deep that they are afraid that in incriminating the Family they will also incriminate themselves. This colors everything; it is the predominant limiting factor. For the same reason, much better books that could have been written from top people who have left the group have not been written.”
